Wallington High School for Girls - Summer 2024 Results

We are delighted to announce another outstanding year of GCSE and A-Level results at Wallington High School for Girls. Our students have once again demonstrated their dedication, resilience, and excellence across a wide range of subjects, maintaining the school's reputation for academic success.

GCSE Results 2024: Our Year 11 students achieved exceptional GCSE results, with a significant number securing top grades. At GCSE, we achieved 34% grade 9s, 63% grade 8+ and 81% grade 7+, showcasing the hard work and commitment of our students and staff. Many students achieved a full set of these top grades, and the results reflect the high standards we set at Wallington.

A-Level Results 2024: Our Year 13 students have also excelled in their A-Level examinations, with 56% grades A/A* (the national figure was 28%) and 76% A*B. This incredible achievement will see many of our students progressing to prestigious universities, competitive apprenticeships, and other exciting post-18 pathways. 

Some notable achievements include: 

  • 232 Accepted places and off to university  
  • 1 Music Conservatoire   
  • 211 students (85%) accepted onto their firm choice & 22 students 9% accepted onto their insurance choice   
  • 3 students are beginning Degree Apprenticeships   
  • 13/16 Oxbridge (6 Oxford & 7 Cambridge)    
  • 148 (64% of accepted places) attending Russell Group Universities   

We are immensely proud of their accomplishments and wish them every success in their future endeavours.

These fantastic results are a testament to the dedication, hard work, and perseverance of our students, staff, families, and the entire school community. We look forward to seeing what they will accomplish next, and we keep up to date with many ex-students through our alumni network.
