Extra- Curricular Activites
We strongly recommend that all students supplement their academic studies by participating in at least one extra-curricular club.
2022/23 opportunities
Although Coronavirus has limited the opportunities during 2020/21 so far due to limiting the mixing of year groups and numbers of participants allowed, the PE department are currently running an extensive programme of sports clubs, details of which will have been given to students in tutor time.
The PE Fixture list is also available on Twitter. You will need to have a twitter account to follow @WHSGPE.
We anticipate launching more clubs and activities in the summer terms to expand the options available to students to include Lego club and academic invite only sessions to name just a few.
Please key an eye out for updates on these pages or via our school communications and bulletins.
How to sign up for Clubs
Each October, the school will run an Extra Curricular Launch event that all year 7 and 8 students will be invited to attend.
Every club, looking to run during the Autumn term, will have a stand in the main hall to answer any questions the students may have and also sign up sheets for all interested students to join.
Previous Years
During previous years the extra curricular timetable has been jam packed with a huge variety of clubs from sporting, language, engineering, science, music, drama and social clubs.
An example of the previous timetables has been displayed below to provide a guide to the opportunities available.
